CHILD PROTECTION AWARENESS COURSE

Course Aims

1. To protect children from abuse.
2. To recognise when abuse might be taking place.
3. To know what to do if abuse is suspected.

Comprehensive notes are provided on completion of the course.
This course in interactive and the content may cause some distress.
It is necessary for all matters discussed to be treated in the strictest confidence, and only within the confines of this course.
This course in interactive and includes significant practical content.
Upon successful completion of the course a Child Protection Awareness attendance certificate will be awarded.

Course Content

This course covers the following:

• Types of abuse.
• Signs and symptoms of abuse.
• Who the abuser might be (quiz to make you aware).
• What can be done about it.
• What needs to be recorded, who should have access, and where it should be stored.

Course duration: about 2 hours.
